We're on vacation so this morning program is a repeat of the March 25, 2012 broadcast.

About The Program

Elevator Club made its debut with host Gord Bibby April 2, 2000 on CHLY, Radio Malaspina. Elevator Club is heard Sunday evenings beginning at 7:00 PM local time on CHLY 101.7 FM and globally via its internet streaming link.

The program is a unique blend of old and new easy listening music featuring lush instrumentals, soothing vocals with a sprinkling of soft jazz. Occasionally a program may be themed (movie music, Grammy award winners of the past, etc.), reflect songs of a season or highlight a specific artist, orchestra or composer. It's a perfect blend of relaxing sounds to wind up your week.

Programs air live on Sundays only so new postings to this site will occur once per week with exception of archived material.

We are endeavouring to add past broadcasts to the archive so please check back again.

About The Background Picture

The background picture^© is of Departure Bay in Nanaimo under a moonlit sky taken from the beach looking northeast across the Strait of Georgia toward the mainland and the City of Vancouver. Centre left is the Pacific Biological Station.

Listeners to Elevator Club's ferry reports will be familiar with references to the Departure Bay ferries that sail from the terminal (situated to the right and out of view of the picture) straight ahead to Horseshoe Bay just north of the City of Vancouver.
